To Whom it May Concern:

     I am writing in support of Mr. David Milner, a former employee of
Austin Community College.  The Office for Students with Disabilities at
ACC is in constant need of ensuring equal access for all students at the
post secondary level, and making appropriate accommodations as needed to
promote a positive learning environment. 
     Therefore, we became aware of our need to have a current assessment
of what technology the Riverside Campus currently had for students who
have low vision needs or who are blind.  And, if that technology was no
longer effective, what ACC would need in order to upgrade and make
appropriate budget requests for the new fiscal year. 
     The Office for Students with Disabilities hired Mr. Milner to do the
above assessment and to create a final report of his recommendations for
the future.  David completed this task with enthusiasm and his final
report was thorough, professional and highly commendable. 
     During his stay here, the ACC staff found David to be consistant
about showing up on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and able to train
others in how to better utilize the equipment we currently own.  He is a
self-motivated, independent worker who is willing to go the extra mile to
ensure that any project is completed with accuracy.  He consulted with
several outside agencys regarding price quotes and compatibility
information, as well as provided me with daily activity logs which
outlined his progress. 
     Mr. Milner was an asset to our office this past summer and we regret
not having sifficient funding to keep him permanently.  His positive
attitude and excellent experience in his field will be an enhancement to
your office as well.  We give him our full support in his employment
endeavours.
